Hey, it's nice to hear your voice.

Ack, you don't have to write about adoption all the bloody time, yanno. It gets tiresome, doesn't it? I mean, I'm not an adoptee so I get the "best" viewpoint of it -- if that makes sense and doesn't make me sound like an asshat and if it does, I'm sorry, really I am; I just don't quite know how to put that -- but anyways, what the hell was I saying? Oh yes, I think I get tired of talking and thinking about adoption and that's from the "privileged" position which, well, again I hope that doesn't make me sound like an asshole but it is what it is, kinda, yanno?

Does that all make me sound like a jerk?

I hope not.

I just know that it's so much easier for me being in this position than it is for an adoptee or for a natural mother and that's totally unfair, of course, OF COURSE IT IS.

So if I get tired of the whole adoption song and dance -- well!

Then I honestly can't imagine the bone-tired weariness that must accompany being in another part of the "triad" or whatever you want to call it.

And if any of that is in the least bit offensive, just tell me.

This is why I find comments and such at times difficult, because I'm always hoping I don't stick my foot in it.

I'm not even remotely offended. And even if I hadn't been drinking limoncello all night, I still wouldn't be. Trust me, Judes, I look at the INTENT of what you're saying. It's all good.

I was only going to write about adoption because I was trying to stick with a theme. But whatevs.

I have never had a limoncello. Those must be good. But I'm an incredible lightweight too; it would probably take TWO to make me drunk.

Yep, I get trying to stick with a theme. I'm just so darn rebellious, even against myself which doesn't even make any damn sense!!

so you write like you talk and that is the coolest thing in the world. that's quite a gift. and it was really fun to get to hear instead of read for once.

oh and the ironing board-island thing made me laugh out loud. a lot. mainly because i have furniture like that (poor).

great job. :)

I always hear that I write like I talk. I don't understand why that's such a good thing, but I'll take what I can get!
